Unsettled weather is forecast for the United Arab Emirates this week, with rain, strong winds, and dust expected to impact various regions. On Wednesday, wind speeds may reach up to 50 km/h in inland and mountainous areas, while temperatures could soar to 41°C in some parts. The conditions might also result in reduced visibility due to blowing dust.
The weather will generally remain fair to partly cloudy, with the development of convective clouds over eastern areas which are likely to move inland and westward during the afternoon. These clouds have the potential to bring rainfall as low-pressure systems influence the area. Winds will predominantly blow from the southeast to northeast at 10–25 km/h, intensifying during cloud formation. Coastal areas and islands could see winds up to 35 km/h. Temperatures are anticipated to range between 35°C and 41°C inland, 34°C and 38°C along the coast, and 26°C and 32°C in mountainous regions.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Thursday morning, peaking at around 90% in some locations. This increase could lead to mist or fog, especially in coastal and inland areas. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are predicted to remain slight.
Thursday is set to experience further unsettled weather, with clouds forming over the eastern and western parts of the UAE and another chance of rain. Wind speeds might reach 40 km/h, accompanied by occasional blowing dust.
Moving into Friday, partly cloudy conditions are anticipated to persist, with a possibility of afternoon rain in eastern areas. Rising humidity could again result in fog or mist overnight and during the early hours of Saturday.
The weekend is expected to bring a gradual decline in temperatures. Saturday may see the formation of convective clouds in eastern and northern regions, while Sunday is forecast to remain generally fair to partly cloudy. Humid conditions are likely to continue overnight into Monday morning, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist.
Overall, the weather forecast suggests that Wednesday and Thursday present the highest chances of rainfall, followed by more stable conditions, cooler temperatures, and recurring risks of fog or mist as the weekend approaches.
