The weather throughout the country is expected to be mostly fair to partly cloudy over the holiday week, with temperatures on the rise as summer draws near.
A brief respite from the heat might occur on Sunday, when a slight dip in temperatures is anticipated. Some areas in the west and along the coast may experience fog or mist during nighttime and early morning hours. However, starting Monday, when government employees begin their Eid break, the heat is expected to intensify once more.
Forecasts for the holiday period indicate that temperatures could climb to approximately 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. The region may also experience light to moderate winds, occasionally reaching speeds up to 35 km/h. Additionally, humidity levels are predicted to rise at night and in the early morning, particularly in coastal regions.
Despite the increase in temperatures, sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are anticipated to remain tranquil. This warming trend marks the gradual transition into the UAE’s summer season following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, temperatures in various parts of the country have already surpassed 40°C.
Astronomically, the official start of summer in the northern hemisphere is on June 21, signaling hotter days ahead. As the UAE enters this seasonal shift, residents should be prepared for the typical heat and humidity that characterize the region’s summer months.
