The United Arab Emirates has made a significant humanitarian contribution to the people of Gaza by sending 980 tonnes of aid. This substantial shipment, transported via 62 trucks, includes essential items such as food, medical supplies, and materials for shelter. These resources aim to alleviate the suffering of civilians caught in the ongoing conflict in the region.
The preparation of these relief supplies took place at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre located in Al Arish, Egypt. This effort is part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, an initiative launched by the UAE in October 2023. The operation seeks to provide comprehensive support to those impacted by the conflict in Gaza. Since its inception, the UAE has utilized various routes—land, air, and sea—to deliver aid.
In addition to dispatching relief convoys, the UAE has established medical facilities to offer immediate health services to those in need. The operation has also facilitated the evacuation of thousands of individuals who were either injured or critically ill, transporting them to locations where they can receive adequate medical attention.
This latest delivery is a testament to the UAE’s ongoing commitment to address the pressing humanitarian needs in Gaza. Through these concerted efforts, the UAE aims to provide a lifeline to the civilians affected by the conflict, ensuring they receive the necessary support to navigate through these challenging times.
